ENGAGEMENT + WEDDING

And so the adventure begins…

Whether it’s being a hidden photographer for the big ask or the one capturing a romantic sunset engagement session - it is an honor to capture a couple’s beginning. I am available for anything you might need from outfit coordination in your engagement session to wedding day timeline help. I have a list of vendors that I absolutely adore to help you in your search to the perfect and seamless wedding day. Every wedding collection includes an engagement session; I use this time to get to know what you love about each other and how you fell in love.

β€œYou are SERIOUSLY freaking amazing!! Girl, I am SPEECHLESS!! We are so blessed that you are our photographer!!!” -Erica W.

Elizabeth E.

β€œJulia shot our wedding single handedly. Before the big day, she made sure to sit down with me and discuss options and poses, as well as full disclosure of her pricing (which was more than reasonable, I might add!) She was in contact with us in the weeks leading up to the wedding, getting our photo list and discussing final details. The day of, she arrived and never stopped working, even though she had driven from St. Louis to Columbia for the event. The pictures turned out beautiful and having access to them was divine. She was so professional in every regard, and is a true artist with her work.”

FAQs

+ How long is our engagement session, when should we book it, and what do we wear?

Your complimentary engagement session is roughly 60-90 minutes long, and we book it up to 12 months before your wedding date. The season that we book is completely up to you! Some couples do theirs opposite season of their wedding date, others want to get their photos done ASAP for engagement announcements/save the dates. We book your engagement session in our first after-booking consultation which is scheduled as soon as the contract is signed! I want to get our relationship started as soon as possible - and I need the details! How did you meet, how long have you known each other, etc! You'll learn that I love to learn about you as much as I love to share about my husband and I!

I am so happy to help with outfit coordination! I'll send you a personalized style guide once we have you booked so that choosing what to wear is stress free! I always suggest that you and your spouse-to-be each have at least one outfit change (we love a fashion show moment), one that you wouldn't mind getting champagne on because I'll be bringing a bottle to pop in celebration of you!

+ Do you help with the wedding day timeline process? Do you coordinate with my wedding planner/day of coordinator?

Yes, yes and yes! I love being included on the timeline process as I can give invaluable insight on the best lighting of the day and when the best times are to steal you away from guests to get the romantic images that you'll treasure forever. I love coordinating with planners and coordinators on timeline and venue setup as well. My goal is to help make your day run as smoothly and seamlessly as possible.

For engagement sessions and/or save-the-date mini sessions: turnaround time is 2-3 weeks with a sneak peak posted on my social medias a few days post session. Couples receive 75+ edited images in their engagement gallery

For weddings: turnaround time is about one month with a sneak peak posted on my social medias a few days after your wedding date. Images average out to about 70 images per one hour of coverage

+ Do you travel?

YES! I work in Pheonix, Arizona, Boise, Idaho, and Denver, Colorado at no additional cost to you. I offer heavy discounts for destination elopements for certain locations - travel and airfaire can be discussed! Please inquire via my contact form

+ Do you take behind the scenes?

Yessssssss! I love some story action, and I absolutely adore making Reels with the extra content I get of both your engagement session and wedding day. All of the extras will be on my instagram @jewelsphotography.stl, and as shareable to my Facebook story as well!

+ What gear do you use, and do you send RAW unedited images?

I'm a Nikon girly for life! My tried and true is the Nikon D850 with a 70-200mm 1.8 lens, and my husband works with a Nikon D750 with a 50mm 1.4 lens - both camera bodies have duel slots (this means we're getting your images TWICE which is important because memory cards do sometimes fail). We also have a Canon m50 with a 50mm 1.4 lens for video should you request a short film be added to your package (please see "short films" on the investment page for more information)

Because RAW unedited images do not reflect the final product of my service, I do not offer these at this time.
